Hi there, I hope all is well with you! Today is finally looking and feeling like Spring, it’s 53 degrees outside! YAY!!
Well, today is my youngest daughter, Lindsey’s birthday, she is 21! I can’t get over how fast time has gone. Lindsey still lives at home and works part time at a nearby hotel setting up banquet rooms. She was such a little stinker when she was young and so funny. I was going to post her card here but am having troubles locating it in my files. So, I will have to post it later.
My son Avery will be 26 on the 24th. He is currently living with 2 of his high school friends about 4 blocks away. He works as a Postman in Waukesha, (another county nearby). He is looking to buy a home, too. I made the card above for his birthday.
Here is how you can make this card:
The base of the card is in Night of Navy card stock cut at 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2. I also used Mint Macaron cut at 4 x 5 1/4, Tranquil Textures DSP cut at 3 3/4 x 5, Tranquil Tide card stock cut at 3 1/4 x 3 3/4, Whisper White cut at 3 x 3 1/2 and run through the Big Shot using the embossing folder Swirls and Curls embossing folder. I also used Basis Black card stock for the plant die cut and the 1 3/8 circle punch. Pease see below for the complete list of products I used, which can be purchased in my Stampin’ Up store above.
I hope you enjoyed today’s card, if you did please leave me a comment. Thanks for stopping by and Happy Stampin’!
Hi Stamper’s! Well I think the weather is going to start warming up here. It’s supposed to be in the 50’s, yeah! Today I got a lot accomplished. I paid all my bills (something I hate to do) and did my taxes. I even started my brother’s taxes.
Well today is about Distinktive Stamps:
Distinktive stamps give you photo-realistic images with just one stamp. They have a special texture that gives added depth and dimension in a single step.
These stamps are available only from Stampin’ Up! and are made using a patent-pending process.
Distinktive stamps are available in red rubber and photopolymer; Paper Pumpkin’s April kit includes photopolymer stamps. You must order the Paper Pumkin Kit by April 10th.
Shop Distinktive stamps in the online store by searching “Distinktive,” or look for the Distinktive icon in Stampin’ Up! catalogs.
Watch our video to learn more about Distinktive stamps.
Here is an example of a Distinkive stamp set. It can be found on page 110 in Catalog.
Hope you have a Great Day, Thanks for stopping by, Happy Stampin”.

Hi Stamper’s, I hope you’re staying warm! It’s 6 degrees here today and for the next couple of days it will be cold like this. I had errands to run, but when it’s this cold out, I just want to stay in.
I know it’s been a while since I last posted, but, I needed an up-line that could help and support me with my business. This was a hard decision to make, (I gave up 10 years). So, I had to drop out of Stampin’ Up for 3 months and re-sign under a new demonstrator. I am so glad that I did. I signed under Kelly Acheson and even though Kelly is 2 hours away from me she has helped me tremendously! BIG SHOUT OUT to Kelly!! Thank you sooo much!!
So… I was working on some designs (I have an order that won’t be here until Friday). I decided just now, that I should draw them out so I don’t forget by the time my order actually gets here. Which is what usually happens.
I love the Specialty Designer Series Paper – Share What you Love. I always hate to cut into gorgeous DSP. Is there anyone else out there like me that will horde it cause it’s too pretty to cut into? Then a whole year goes by and suddenly you’re not as crazy about it? Well… The Share What You Love DSP has 24 sheets in the pack. So I decided to USE IT UP, BEFORE it retires. Also, I used the Love What You Do stamp set that coordinates with the Share What You Love DSP.
For the month of August only or until supplies last you can get the Blended Season stamp set or bundle with the Stitched Seasons Framelits. I love this set. The flowers are great for background stamping as well as for coloring a focal image. I also want to add that for every $50.00 you spend in the month of August you can earn a $5.00 coupon to spend in the whole month of September. So please contact me to place your order.
For these cards I used a stitched rectangle Framelit from another set ( I’m sorry, I don’t recall where I got it from) and then stamped the the background floral image in Smokey Slate from the Blended Seasons stamp set. I then die cut the larger flower in Lovely Lipstick card stock and the leaves in Granny Apple Green card stock from the May Flowers Framelits. I die cut the Celebrate from the Celebrate Thinlets and Congrats from Sunshine Wishes Thinlets in black card stock. I then mounted the images on Whisper White and on Lovely Lipstick cardstock. I then embellished the cards with the Clear Faceted Gems. At the end of this post is a list of all the products I used to make these cards.
Of course when I started I didn’t realize the first flower was from the now retired Stylish Stems (below) and the butterflies are from the retired Butterflies Framelits.
Here is a list of products I used.
I hope you like the cards and please feel free to leave a comment! Thanks for visiting.
Hi Stamper’s. It is beautiful here today we can finally turn the air conditioner off and open the windows. I just love having the windows open. We’re cooped up all winter and then again in summer due to the humidity. Because of living close to Lake Michigan, the humidity can get extremely high. UUgghh.
For today’s card I used the Animal Outing stamp set and Animal Expedition Designer Series Paper (aka DSP) to create the cards below. For the 1st card I cut a piece of 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inch piece of DSP and then cut 1 inch off of the 5 1/2 side to use the Calypso Coral side on back and glued both pieces onto thick Whisper White card stock. I was going to make 2 of the same card but I glued the wrong side of the one inch piece for the 2nd card ( that’s why you see the DSP in Granny Apple Green on the second card) . So then I cut a 1/4 x 5 1/2 inch Granny Apple Green card stock and glued it down between the 2 DSP’s. I also used some retired, old hemp ribbon I found in my stash.
And here is the inside of both cards.
Here is a list of products I used for the cards.
